What's New

Three months of changes, grouped by what they are for. Each heading links to the help article where there is one.

Starting out

A 30-day free trial, no card (September). Sign up with your email, create your company — a Companies House search fills in a limited company — and you have thirty days of everything. The sidebar counts the days down; choose a plan when you are ready or when the trial ends, and you are told by email before it does. Quick Start Guide →

Invite people who do not have an account yet (September). From Company Settings → Team, an invitation by email creates the colleague's account when they accept, and the role you choose decides whether they land in the office or in the engineer diary. Inviting Your Team →

A new dashboard (July). Cash flow, an invoice donut, KPI sparklines, what to pay and what to chase, the activity feed, and a Needs you today list whose rows you can dismiss for good.

Systems, tests and the logbook

The routine test programme (September). Fire alarms, emergency lights, intruder alarms and CCTV come with their weekly, monthly and annual test rules. Every system shows Done, Due or Missed from its logbook; the call-point test walks round the building by itself; the client records tests from the portal; reminders go out each morning and escalate to you after two misses; a failed test emails you the moment it is recorded. Staff can now correct an entry, and the logbook prints per system over any date range. Systems & Logbook →

Service and remedial jobs (September). A maintenance job is created a month before a contracted system's service falls due, and a remedial job is built from whatever failed on a completed job — checklist items, device tests, batteries. Service Jobs and Remedial Jobs →

Batteries (September). Battery backup per system with a four-year life and a 60-day warning; engineers check and replace batteries on the job.

Certificates from a system (September). The job page offers the certificate types that fit the system on the job, and the form opens pre-filled. All 21 certificate types now have their PDF template; the EIC follows the full BS 7671:2018 model form with landscape board schedules, and the fire alarm commissioning form covers every checklist field (July).

Clients and the portal

Portal contacts with a job title, abilities and locations (September). Each of your client's contacts can be limited to the locations they look after and to what they may do — record logbook tests, control switches, view invoices, view or accept estimates. Invoices, estimates, payments and the dashboard follow. Portal Contacts →

Help inside the portal (September). Your clients have their own help pages at portal.dynamik.app/help, written for them.

Estimates (July). A reference field, and rich text for the description, notes and terms on the PDF. Clients accept with their name and a drawn signature, and the acceptance records when and from where.

Sales and purchasing

Leads & Prospecting (September). A pipeline for enquiries, kept apart from your clients until they buy, and a capture form you paste onto your website with the defences that keep bots out. Off by default — switch it on under Features. Leads and the Pipeline →

Supplier Quotes rebuilt (September). A quotation you received is recorded like an estimate you send — client, project, catalogue lines — and re-billed to the client as a draft invoice in one click. Recording Supplier Quotes →

Price intelligence on products (August). A Pricing tab per product built from your bills and supplier quotes — record low, last paid, average, lowest quoted, the cheapest supplier; Cheaper at… warnings on purchase order lines; cost and margin hints on estimate lines; a price-rise alert when a new bill line is dearer than before; scanned bills link their lines to products by themselves. Products also take an image now.

Money and compliance

Two Open Banking providers (September). GoCardless Bank Account Data joins TrueLayer, and you choose which accounts to connect. Connecting Your Bank →

VAT schemes (August). Flat Rate and Cash Accounting alongside the standard scheme, Northern Ireland establishment for boxes 2, 8 and 9, and the domestic reverse charge on the invoice and on the return.

Payroll (August). NI thresholds per period and the category letters that were missing, student loan Plan 5, the year's rates read from HMRC, company cars on the FPS in place of the P11D, termination awards and occupational pensions calculated rather than declared.

Budgets and the Cash Flow report now have their articles. Creating a Budget →

Your data (August). An owner can take a copy of everything the company holds, and a closed account's data is kept for two months before it is deleted.

Accessibility (August). The whole application was audited against WCAG 2.1 AA — contrast, focus, labels, keyboard and screen-reader use — and fixed, with a published accessibility statement.

One design for every email (August). Every email the product sends — to you, your clients and your tenants — shares one design, with your logo.

Energy meters and tenants

Dynamik Energy is on the App Store (September). The tenant app — balance, usage, history, card top-ups and alerts — is live for iPhone; the matching Android release is on its way to Google Play. Tenants can link a meter from your invitation in one tap, and can delete their own account.

Emergency credit (August). Let a tenant go below £0.00 by an amount you set before the power is cut; the debt is repaid from the next top-up, and raising the window on a cut-off meter restores the power. Your Energy Meters (portal) →

A tamper indicator on every meter card (August). Four bands from the consumption pattern, with the evidence behind them and the unit type the landlord sets.

Cleaner money (September). A top-up is card only, and the card fee comes out of the landlord's money, not ours; the receipt shows what the tenant paid, the fee and what settled. A licence payment that fails blocks activating more meters, never the ones already running.

Risk assessments

Two kinds (July–August). A premises / fire-safety report alongside the job assessment, and Refine with AI: describe the change you want and only that is rewritten. Generating a Risk Assessment →

The help centre itself

Refreshed (September). The articles that had gone stale were rewritten from the code, the modules above have their own pages, and the landlord's meter pages live in the portal help.
