Companies House

dynamik.app reads the public Companies House register for two things: filling in your own company when you set it up, and tracking your two Companies House filing deadlines on the dashboard. There is nothing to connect — no account, no key.

Setting Up a Limited Company

On the Set Up Your Business screen, choose the limited company option and use Search Companies House. Type the company name or its registration number; a number is looked up directly, a name returns up to eight matches. Selecting one fills in:

• The company name
• The registration number
• The registered office address — lines, town, postcode, country

Nothing else is taken from the register. If the search finds nothing, or you prefer to, add it manually with the name and, optionally, the number. Skipped it at sign-up? Type the Registration Number under Company Settings → General — that number is what unlocks the deadlines below, and what Corporation Tax filing needs.

Filing Deadlines on the Dashboard

With a registration number saved, the Tax & filing deadlines card on the dashboard shows:

Each row shows the date and the days left — or overdue in red. They sit in the same list as your open HMRC obligations (VAT, Income Tax, PAYE) once HMRC is connected.

The Companies House dates are read from the register once a day, so a statement you filed this morning can show for up to 24 hours. The refresh button on the card refreshes the HMRC obligations, not the Companies House dates.
