Assigning Engineers to Jobs

Assign one or more engineers to jobs. Jobs can have multiple engineers with a designated lead engineer who is the primary contact.

Employee Setup Required

Engineers must be set up as employees first. Go to Contacts → Employees to add your team members.

Assigning Engineers

  1. 1 Open an existing job or create a new one
  2. 2 In the Engineers section, click Add Engineer
  3. 3 Search for and select an employee
  4. 4 Toggle Lead if this is the primary engineer
  5. 5 Add more engineers if needed
  6. 6 Click Save

Lead Engineer

The lead engineer is:

  • Primary point of contact for the job
  • Responsible for job completion
  • Shown prominently on job details
  • Can mark the job as complete from their diary

Multiple Engineers

When multiple engineers are assigned:

  • All assigned engineers see the job in their diary
  • Job appears on each engineer's calendar
  • Only one engineer should be marked as lead

Removing Engineers

To remove an engineer from a job, click the remove button next to their name in the job editor. If you remove the lead, remember to assign a new lead.
