Accounts on a Project

A site comes with logins: the router, the CCTV portal, the heating controller's cloud account, the client's own support portal. Accounts keeps them on the project, encrypted, and hands an engineer only the ones a job needs.

Tip

Open a project and choose Accounts under the Site group, next to Systems.

Adding an Account

Click Add Account:

Field Notes
Name What it is: Router admin, CCTV portal. Optional; without one the card shows the site part of the URL
URL Required. Where to sign in
Username, Email Whichever the login uses
Password Required. Stored encrypted; the eye button in the form shows what you typed
Notes Anything the engineer should know
Custom fields Add field gives a label and a value, as many as you need: a PIN, an account number, a serial. Values are encrypted like the password

Each card shows the username and email in clear, the password hidden behind dots with a show / hide button, and a copy button next to every value. The menu on the card has Edit and Delete.

Sharing an Account on a Job

Accounts are not visible to engineers on their own. When you create or edit a job on that project, the form shows Accounts to share under Systems to Service: tick the ones this job needs. The engineer then sees an Accounts card on the job, on the web and in the phone app, with the same show / hide and copy buttons. Untick them, or finish the job, and that is the end of it: the access goes with the job.

Note

Accounts are for your team. The client's portal does not show them, and the project's activity records only that an account was added or removed, never its details.
